The scheduling process for Psychiatry and Medication Management (PAMM) sessions will now require clients to submit payment through the Member app before the session takes place. If a client does not submit their co-payment prior to the appointment, the session will be automatically cancelled. The time in which the client has to submit a payment depends on whether the client scheduled the session or if the provider created it on their behalf.
Starting on March 18, 2026, Modern Health will implement changes to the scheduling process for Psychiatry and Medication Management (PAMM) sessions.
We will require that Modern Health clients provide payment for their PAMM sessions prior to the appointment taking place. Our members will have to input their payment information directly on their Modern Health App once a PAMM session is scheduled. This applies to both initial evaluations and follow-up visits; and payment is required every time a session is booked, whether it’s the provider or member who handled scheduling.
It’s important to note that our system will automatically cancel a scheduled session if payment information from the member is not received prior to the visit.
If the member books the session, they will have 20 minutes to complete the co-pay after booking before being auto-cancelled.
If you (provider) book the session:
If the session is scheduled in advance, the member will have 48 hours to complete the co-pay after booking before being auto-cancelled.
If a session is booked on the day of or less than 48 hours in advance, the member will have up until 10 minutes before the start of the session to submit payment before the session is auto-cancelled.
