As a Modern Health provider you now have the capability to enable closed captioning for telehealth sessions from the Dashboard. As a reminder, please ensure that you obtain the member's consent prior to enabling closed captions.
Step-by-step instructions to enable closed captions:
Once you are in the Zoom room for your Modern Health session, find the Zoom toolbar at the bottom of your window and press Show captions.
You might have to click on the ellipsis (three dots), and then you will see the captions option, as shown below:
- If prompted, select English as the language for the meeting and hit Save.
When you first start transcription, the member will be notified as shown below. Once started, you can pause transcription at any point. Members can show/hide their own captions independently of your actions.
- Once transcription has started, you will see captions appear at the bottom of your video when you or the member speak. To turn this off, press Hide captions. Transcription will continue in the background.
