For eligible 1:1 adult sessions (not minors, couples/families, Illinois clients, or initial evaluations) with recording consent, an AI-generated draft Progress Note becomes available for 60 days. After ending the Zoom session, open the member’s Notes tab, create a Progress Note for that date, then select Open AI draft. Review the SOAP-based draft (Objective and Plan only), merge sections, edit as needed, then sign note to finalize the clinical record for compliance and quality.
For 1:1 sessions that the client has consented to recording, our system will produce the AI-generated draft note, with the following exceptions:
- Not currently available for sessions with minors (younger than 18)
- Not currently available for couples or family sessions
- Not currently available for Initial Evaluation sessions (1st sessions)
- Not currently available for clients located in Illinois
After you end the session on Zoom, you should go to the Notes section of the Member Profile page.
- Click New note, select Progress Note and the date of the session you just concluded.
- Once the Progress Note page loads, you will see a callout box at the top where you can click to view the AI draft.
Please note that the draft note will only be available to you for 60 days, after which it will be deleted.
- Click on Open AI draft, and the AI summary will appear on the right-hand side of your screen, in a split-screen view as shown below:
You are able to review the entire draft note, and can either merge each section* separately by clicking merge, or scroll to the bottom and click merge all to replicate the entire draft into your Progress Note on the left side of the screen.
*Progress Notes and the AI drafts are generated following the SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment and Plan) format. However, the AI-generated draft will only produce summaries for the Objective and Plan sections.- After you merge the AI draft into your Progress Note, you can make any edits you want to it. Please carefully review for accuracy, completeness, and clinical appropriateness before proceeding.
- Once you have reviewed the Progress Notes, including all AI-generated content, and the information is accurate and you approve its inclusion as part of the clinical record, scroll to the bottom and click Sign note. This will document your review and approval and save to the clinical record. At that point, no further edits will be possible.
