We encourage you to link your calendar so that clients can view and directly book sessions. If you link your calendar, your clients will be able to book sessions directly with you in the Modern Health application.
Note: if you would are a therapist and would like to set up your availability via roster, please review "How do I indicate my availability?" in Therapist Pointers.
Begin by navigating to the upper left hand corner of your dashboard and select "Get started" (if this is your first time indicating your availability), or "Manage availability" (if you have previously indicated your availability in the dashboard).

Select "Add calendar" to begin connecting your calendar(s) to the dashboard. Please note: if you are a therapist you will also have the option to indicate the number of client openings you have available. For more information, please reference "How do I indicate my availability?" in Therapist Pointers.

Select "Add Calendar" again which will allow you to begin connecting your Google, Exchange, iCloud, Outlook or Office 365 calendar(s).

Select the calendar type that you would like to connect and follow the short flow that accompanies the selected type. More detail can be found in the "Sessions Page - Manage Availability" video.

Working Hours: To display your availability to clients, Modern Health's technology compares your working hours to the busy windows on your calendar. For example, if your working hours are 9 am-5 pm Monday-Wednesday and you have clients or personal activities booked on your calendar 9 am-3 pm Monday-Wednesday, then 3-4 pm and 4-5 pm windows would be open for clients to book.
After setting up your working hours, you can preview how your open hours will display to your clients by selecting "Preview Availability" under the "Sessions" tab of your dashboard.
Please ensure you set your working hours and preview your availability to complete your calendar set up.
Confidentiality: Modern Health does not read the events on your connected calendar (i.e. we are not capturing your personal information), but we are capturing when you are busy. As such, please keep your calendar up to date and block off any time you are busy during your traditional working hours.
EHR Calendars: Typically, you can set up a 2-way sync with technologies like SimplePractice and Google (or any of the above listed calendar types). Then, if you sync your Google calendar, your SimplePractice bookings will factor into your availability to work with Modern Health clients.
